The Unfolding of a Book

Reflections

As It Unfolds

July 16, 2026

As I’ve been working behind the scenes on so many things, I’ve come to realize that this journey is about far more than the unfolding of a book. The book and the speaking seem to be wrapped together as one gift.

There has been so much more involved than scanning journals or organizing pages. There are the platforms where these words are finding their way into the world, the conversations they inspire, and the many ways of connecting that continue to unfold before me. It feels as though the possibilities are endless.

Now I must decide what is enough. Otherwise, I will become buried beneath all of the odds and ends and lose sight of the task at hand—the writing of this book. This is the journey I chose. What lives within me and what reads through me are words. What speaks through me is peace, love, and the awareness that, in the end, we are all the same.

Beyond the Written Word

The Part I Cannot See

July 10, 2026

As I’m going through my journals, memories start to take over, and along with them comes a feeling of melancholy.

Many times, I have felt as though a part of me is missing—hiding, waiting for me to discover it. This feeling has come and gone since I “came back”—a feeling of being caught between two different worlds. Yet, even as I meditate and release these feelings, they still seem to grow stronger at times.

When my journal folder went missing, along with all of the scans I had done, my first thought was that perhaps it was meant to happen this way. Perhaps I am meant to take my time and read each journal again.

I have only gotten through a couple of them so far, yet this feeling that something is missing continues. I can’t help but wonder why I was led in this direction. But I will follow it with curiosity. I will meditate upon it and fill my mind with faith, trusting that this is my path..

When the Journals Disappeared

July 3, 2026

I have been scanning journals for quite a while now. Last night, as I finished what I thought was my last journal to scan, I discovered that my main folder containing all of the previous scans was gone. After much research, I learned the files could not be recovered.

As I sat reflecting on what had happened, something quietly dawned on me. Those journals are part of my journey, but they may not be necessary for the beginning of this book.

You see, writing this book has felt like a task I would need help with. I believed those journals held the answers. But the words in those journals came from within, just as the words for this book will come from within.

As I was thinking about this, these words were given to me:

Perhaps I had become a little too ambitious in believing I needed every journal at my fingertips. Maybe they are meant to be a source of inspiration, but not the source itself.

The writing I am doing now is new. It belongs to this moment.

So as I begin writing today, I can’t help but believe those missing files left me with one simple reminder:
