My Story

Hi, I’m Kathy Ann

Life has a way of surprising us. I know this firsthand.

I spent years raising a family, running a business, building relationships, and simply trying to make a positive difference in the lives of those around me.

Then, in January of 2016, my life changed forever.

What followed was an awakening unlike anything I could have imagined—one that transformed not only how I saw the world, but how I understood myself and the purpose of my life.

Growing Up

I grew up in Green Bay, Wisconsin, in a large family where responsibility became part of everyday life. Being one of fifteen children taught me the value of helping others, listening, and finding joy in life’s simplest moments.

For much of my adult life, I worked with people. Whether managing businesses, owning a women’s boutique, or simply visiting with customers, I discovered that people are searching for more than answers. They are searching for their worth. They long for peace of mind, ease in their hearts, and a reminder that they are enough, just as they are.

Everything Changed

After my Near-Death Experience, I returned with a knowing that has shaped every part of my life. I experienced a love beyond anything words can fully describe—a love that did not need to be earned. It has always been ours. It is never measured or conditional.

Since then, I have felt deeply called to share the wisdom that continues to unfold within me. The messages are beautifully simple: we are worth the good we want in our lives. We are deeply loved. And the peace and love we spend so much of our lives searching for have been living within us all along, patiently waiting to be discovered.

Today, I share those messages through my podcast, Dead Girl Talking, my writing, speaking engagements, and the conversations I’m fortunate enough to have with people from all walks of life. My hope isn’t to tell people what to believe. It is to help them remember what their own hearts have always known. They are loved.

Who is Kathy Ann

When I’m not writing or speaking, you’ll usually find me with a camera in hand, walking through nature. Photography reminds me to slow down, notice the beauty around us, and appreciate the quiet moments that often speak the loudest.

Some of my favorite photographs have come from simply being present rather than searching for the perfect image. Standing quietly in the woods or beside the water reminds me that life doesn’t have to be rushed. The world is constantly offering moments of beauty, hope, and wonder if we’re willing to slow down long enough to notice them. That same perspective influences the way I write, the way I speak, and the way I try to live each day.

Whether you’re looking for a speaker,
have a question,
or simply want to say hello.
I’d love to hear from you.
